Sander Sprong graduated from the Hogeschool van Amsterdam in 1996 with a degree in physical therapy. After obtaining this degree, he first went to work in Germany for several months. This was followed by a period of 2.5 years working as a physiotherapist in the Liverpool area of England. Here he was able to gain extensive experience in different disciplines within physical therapy, such as working with patients in orthopedics, patients who had just undergone surgery and patients in the intensive care unit. Outside the hospital, he also gained extensive experience with patients in private practice. <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

After returning to the Netherlands, Sander started working at a private practice in Amsterdam, where, in addition to the familiar problems such as back, neck, leg and shoulder pain, many musicians and people with wrist and hand problems were seen.
In the meantime, he felt the urge to further develop his knowledge and skills. Despite his years of experience and attending many continuing education courses, he continued to strive for more expertise in the field of examining and treating people with physical complaints. <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Osteopathy as a deeper insight<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

In Osteopathy is where Sander Sprong could find the deeper insight that he was looking for. An osteopath sees the body as one whole system. For Sander, this was a logical concept. This is because the body not only consists of the musculoskeletal system, but also has internal organs and a nervous system. It is the cohesion of these three systems that allows us to function as human beings. The ability to involve all of these systems in both the examination as well as the treatment makes osteopathy a valuable approach to Sander.<\/p>

Sander took the six-year course in osteopathy at College Sutherland (now College Integrale Geneeswijzen<\/a>) in Amsterdam. He successfully completed this study in 2010. <\/p>

In February 2011, Sander Sprong opened the doors of his own practice in Amsterdam. He is a member of the professional associations NVO<\/a> (Dutch Association for Osteopathy) and registered with the NRO<\/a> (Dutch Register for Osteopathy).<\/p>

In addition to his work with adults, Sander specialized in treating babies and children, after completing the two-year course “Osteopathy in children” at Panta Rhei, an institute for advanced professional training in osteopathy.
As a father, he has personally experienced what it is like to deal with a baby that suffered from prolonged crying, which adds value to his work with young babies. <\/p>

An active osteopath in Amsterdam, Sander regularly attends conferences, symposiums and continuing education in the field of osteopathic examination and treatment of adults as well as babies and children. <\/p>

Along with a now extensive experience treating infants, children and adults alike, his knowledge, skill and expertise has continued to deepen in recent years.<\/p>
